September 17, 2022: Monterey, CA 93940 The Santa Catalina Cougars volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Torres Toros to 0 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.
The Cougars now have a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hollister for a Pacific Coast - Gabilan game on Thursday, September 22. Santa Catalina will meet a Haybalers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA). The Haybalers record now stands at 6-5.
The Toros (5-19) will now prepare for their game against Sunnyside (Fresno, CA). The Wildcats enter the CMAC/NYL game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, Sunnyside gained a win over Fresno (Fresno, CA), 3-1, in a league game.
