Illinois High School Soccer - Litchfield nudges Greenville
September 17, 2024: Litchfield, IL 62056 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) and the visiting Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL), saw Litchfield's soccer squad hold off Greenville by a count of 2-1.
The Purple Panthers (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The Cavaliers enter the South Central battle with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Carlinville nudged Pana (Pana, IL), 7-0, in a league challenge.
With the loss, Greenville moves to 4-6 on the year. The Comets host Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL) to encounter the Hiltoppers in a South Central challenge on Thursday, September 19. The Hiltoppers go into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Hillsboro won 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL)
