Georgia High School Softball - Baconton Charter drops to Cairo
September 17, 2024: Baconton, GA 30907 Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Baconton Charter Blazers (Baconton, GA), 8-0 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Cairo improves its record to 9-6 on the year. The Syrupmakers host Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA) to play the Bearcats in a 3A Region 1 game on Thursday, September 19. The Bearcats enter the game with a record of 6-8. Bainbridge lost 11-5 in their recent league game against Peach County (Fort Valley, GA)
The Blazers now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Brookwood for a non-league game on Thursday, September 19. Baconton Charter will play a Warriors squad coming off a 10-2 league loss to Terrell Academy (Dawson, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-4.
