Arizona High School Football - Tempe nudges La Joya Community
September 17, 2025: Tempe, AZ 85281 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ) and the visiting La Joya Community Fighting Lobos (Avondale, AZ), witnessed Tempe's football squad edge La Joya Community by a tally of 22-18.
The Buffaloes (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Desert Sunrise (Maricopa, AZ). The Golden Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Desert Sunrise got by Glendale (Glendale, AZ), 42-6, in a non-league bout.
The Fighting Lobos now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Desert Sunrise for a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 1. La Joya Community will encounter a Golden Hawks team coming off a 28-14 non-league win over Tempe (Tempe, AZ). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 3-1.
