September 17, 2025: Salem, IL 62881 The Salem Wildcats soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Mt. Vernon Rams to 2 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Wildcats now possess a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Wesclin for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 18. Salem will face a Warriors team coming off a 2-1 league win over Carlyle (Carlyle, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 2-9.
The Rams (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Vienna/Goreville (Vienna, IL). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Vienna/Goreville got by Kennett (Kennett, MO), 8-3, in a non-league bout.
