September 18, 2021: New Windsor, NY 12553 The Cornwall Central Dragons football team (New Windsor, NY), was beaten 28-9 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY)
The Goldbacks (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Middletown (Middletown, NY). The Middie Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Middletown was beaten by Wallkill (Wallkill, NY), 23-14, in a non-league challenge.
The Dragons now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pine Bush for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 23. Cornwall Central will meet a Bushmen team coming off a 36-6 non-league loss to Valley Central (Montgomery, NY). The Bushmen record now stands at 0-1.
