Ralston Rams (Ralston, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they host Beatrice for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 21. Ralston will battle a Orangemen squad coming off a 10-1 non-league loss to Elkhorn (Elkhorn, NE). The Orangemen record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Gering falls to 18-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Chadron (Chadron, NE) to battle the Cardinals in a B District 10 challenge on Tuesday, September 21. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 10-10. Chadron lost 10-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Cozad (Cozad, NE)
