The Union County Patriots topped the host Cowan Blackhawks volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Patriots now have a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin County for a non-league test on Monday, September 20. Union County will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Connersville (Connersville, IN). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-8.

The Blackhawks (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN). The Royals go into the Mid-Eastern contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Eastern Hancock beat Southwestern (Shelbyville, IN), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
