September 18, 2023: Swampscott, MA 01907 The Swampscott Big Blue volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting St. Mary's Spartans to 0 in the Big Blue non-league victory on Monday.
The Big Blue now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saugus for a Northeast game on Wednesday, September 20. Swampscott will meet a Sachems team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Northeast Metro RVT (Wakefield, MA). The Sachems record now stands at 3-1.
The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA). The Crusaders enter the Catholic Central - Large game with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Bishop Fenwick notched a victory over Newburyport (Newburyport, MA), 3-1, in a non-league outing.
