September 18, 2024: Newport News, VA 23601 Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Peninsula Catholic Knights (Newport News, VA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Menchville improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Phoebus (Hampton, VA) to encounter the Phantoms in a Peninsula test on Thursday, September 19. The Phantoms go into the test with a record of 0-7. Phoebus lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Gloucester (Gloucester, VA)
The Knights now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Norfolk Christian for a non-league test on Thursday, September 26.
