The Alief Hastings Bears (Houston, TX) football triumphed over the host Bellaire Cardinals (Bellaire, TX), 47-14 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 20 game, on Friday, September 26. Alief Hastings will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record.

The Cardinals (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston, TX). The Tigers enter the 6A Region III District 18 game with a 0-4 record. In their last bout, Houston Math Science & Tech was crushed by La Marque (La Marque, TX), 64-0, in a non-league bout.
