The Murrieta Mesa Rams football team (Murrieta, CA), dropped 45-24 in Thursday's non-league bout with the visiting La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA)

With the win, La Costa Canyon advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA) to confront the Grizzlies in a Avocado contest on Friday, October 3. The Grizzlies enter the contest with a record of 5-0. Mission Hills won 52-0 in their recent non-league contest against Ramona (Ramona, CA)

Coming up next, the Rams confront the Temecula Valley Golden Bears (Temecula, CA) in a Big West - Lower contest, on Friday, October 3. Murrieta Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Golden Bears enter the contest with a 3-2 record after their 16-10 non-league loss to Temescal Canyon (Lake Elsinore, CA).
