Massachusetts High School Football - Somerville can't hold off Malden
September 18, 2025: Malden, MA 02148 Malden Golden Tornados (Malden, MA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Somerville Highlanders (Somerville, MA), 14-12 in a league match.
The Golden Tornados (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Northeast Metro RVT (Wakefield, MA). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Northeast Metro RVT tipped Bay Path RVT (Charlton, MA), 14-0, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Highlanders meet the Chelsea Red Devils (Chelsea, MA) in a Greater Boston match, on Friday, September 26. Somerville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Red Devils come into the match with a 1-2 record after their 32-8 non-league loss to Carver (Carver, MA).
