The Newman Smith Trojans overwhelmed the host Sunset Bison football squad by a count of 69-0 in Thursday's league test.

The Trojans now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Molina for a 5A-1 Region II District 6 test on Friday, September 26. Newman Smith will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 57-7 league loss to Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-4.

With the defeat, Sunset moves to 2-2 on the season. The Bison travel to Molina (Dallas, TX) to face the Jaguars in a 5A-1 Region II District 6 challenge on Saturday, October 4. The Jaguars go into the challenge with a record of 0-4.
