September 18, 2025: Champaign, IL 61820 In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Normal Community Ironmen soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Champaign Central Maroons.
The Ironmen (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Quincy Notre Dame (Quincy, IL). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 2-7 record. In their last outing, Quincy Notre Dame by Rochester (Rochester, IL), 5-0, in a non-league test.
The Maroons now have a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bloomington for a Big Twelve test on Saturday, September 20. Champaign Central will clash with a Purple Raiders team coming off a 2-0 league win over Manual (Peoria, IL). The Purple Raiders record now stands at 7-4.
