Milford Eagles (Milford, NE) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Seward Bluejays (Seward, NE), 4-3 in a non-league match.

The Eagles (8-10) will now prepare for their match against Crete (Crete, NE). The Cardinals come into the non-league match with a 18-2 record. In their last match, Crete nipped Adams Central (Hastings, NE), 15-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Bluejays confront the Lakeview Vikings (Columbus, NE) in a B District 7 challenge, on Monday, September 22. Seward will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Aquinas (David City, NE).
