The Faith Christian Lions volleyball squad (Anniston, AL), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Pleasant Valley Raiders (Jacksonville, AL)

With the win, Pleasant Valley upgrades its record to 14-7 on the year. The Raiders travel to Gaston (Gadsden, AL) to meet the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 13 challenge on Tuesday, September 23. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Gaston lost 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Cedar Bluff (Cedar Bluff, AL)

Next, the Lions meet the Ranburne Bulldogs (Ranburne, AL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 20. Faith Christian will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 10-9 record after their 3-1 league loss to Horseshoe Bend (New Site, AL).
