September 18, 2025: Shelbyville, KY 40065 The Shelby County Rockets were victorious over the visiting Nelson County Cardinals volleyball team by a tally of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Rockets now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cornerstone Christian Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 23. Shelby County will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Heritage Academy (Florence, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Nelson County drops to 2-11 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Washington County (Springfield, KY) to play the Commanders in a District 19 outing on Tuesday, September 23. The Commanders come into the outing with a record of 6-9. Washington County lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY)
