September 19, 2023: Tompkinsville, KY 42167 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) and the host Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY), saw Barren County's soccer squad triumph over Monroe County by a count of 10-0.
The Trojans now hold a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Glasgow for a District 15 test on Thursday, September 21. Barren County will meet a Scotties squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY). The Scotties record now stands at 0-9.
With the loss, Monroe County drops to 3-10 on the season. The Falcons travel to Franklin-Simpson (Franklin, KY) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league test on Thursday, September 21. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 5-8. Franklin-Simpson lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Russellville (Russellville, KY)
