September 19, 2024: Summit, IL 60501 The Shepard Astros football squad scored 30 points and limited the host Argo Argonauts to 0 in the Astros non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Astros now hold a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lemont for a non-league test on Thursday, September 26. Shepard will meet a Lemont HS squad coming off a 43-6 non-league loss to St. Laurence (Burbank, IL). The Lemont HS record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Argo drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Argonauts travel to Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL) to meet the Raptors in a non-league test on Thursday, October 3. The Raptors come into the test with a record of 1-2. Rich Township won 49-0 in their recent non-league test against Lockport (Lockport, IL)
