Michigan High School Football - Powers Catholic thwarted by Freeland
September 19, 2024: Freeland, MI 48623 Freeland Falcons (Freeland, MI) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI), 36-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Freeland advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Falcons travel to Alma (Alma, MI) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 26. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 1-1.
The Chargers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Frankenmuth for a battle on Thursday, September 26. Powers Catholic will play a Eagles team coming off a 35-6 non-league win over St. Johns (St. Johns, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 4-0.
