September 19, 2024: Herndon, VA 20170 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) and the visiting Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA), witnessed Herndon's football squad wallop Wakefield School by a tally of 48-0.
The Hornets (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against South Lakes (Reston, VA). The Seahawks enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, South Lakes crushed Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, SD), 29-0, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Fighting Owls battle the Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 26. Wakefield School will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 7-6 non-league win over McLean (McLean, VA).
