September 19, 2024: Bryson City, NC 28713 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) and the visiting Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), witnessed Swain County's football squad edge Murphy by a tally of 28-26.
The Maroon Devils (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Cherokee got by Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 28-18, in a non-league contest.
