Kentucky High School Soccer - West Jessamine knocks off Franklin County
September 19, 2024: Frankfort, KY 40601 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the West Jessamine Colts (Nicholasville, KY) and the host Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY), saw West Jessamine's soccer squad prevail over Franklin County by a count of 4-0.
The Colts (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY). The Jaguars enter the District 46 match with a 2-8 record. In their last match, East Jessamine nipped Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY), 4-0, in a league match.
The Flyers now sport a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they host George Rogers Clark for a non-league match on Saturday, September 21. Franklin County will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 1-1 non-league Great Crossing (Georgetown, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-5.
