Connecticut High School Soccer - Windham knocks off Lyman Memorial
September 19, 2024: Willimantic, CT 06226 In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Windham Whippets soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs.
The Whippets (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Killingly (Killingly, CT). The Redmen go into the non-league outing with a 3-0 record. In their last outing, Killingly got by Putnam (Putnam, CT), 8-0, in a non-league match.
The Bulldogs now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Bernard for a Eastern Connecticut III match on Saturday, September 21. Lyman Memorial will meet a Saints team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Fitch (Groton, CT). The Saints record now stands at 6-0.
