In Friday's non-league match, the visiting St. Thomas More Cougars football squad scored a close 39-35 triumph over the Acadiana Rams.

The Cougars (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Neville (Monroe, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Neville was nudged by Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS), 36-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Rams meet the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) in a 5A District 3 match, on Thursday, September 25. Acadiana will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the battle with a 0-3 record after their 42-28 non-league loss to Comeaux (Lafayette, LA).
