Virginia High School Football - Riverbend smashes Albemarle

September 19, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22901

The Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) football trounced the host Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA), 81-8 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Bears now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brooke Point for a Commonwealth game on Friday, September 26. Riverbend will face a Black Hawks team coming off a 20-19 non-league win over Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Black Hawks record now stands at 3-1.

The Patriots (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA). The Black Knights enter the Jefferson game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Charlottesville was trounced by Rocktown (Harrisonburg, VA), 42-20, in a non-league game.
