The Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) football tipped the visiting Archbishop Hannan Hawks (Covington, LA), 36-35 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Hornets now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Westminster Christian Academy for a 1A District 5 outing on Friday, September 26. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will clash with a Crusaders squad coming off a 49-7 non-league win over Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Archbishop Hannan falls to 1-2 on the year. The Hawks host Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA) to battle the Lions in a non-league game on Friday, September 26. The Lions enter the game with a record of 2-1. Covenant Christian Academy won 42-6 in their recent non-league game against Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA)
