Temple Wildcats (Temple, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Austin Maroons (Austin, TX), 48-14 in a non-league match.

The Wildcats (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Shoemaker (Killeen, TX). The Wolves enter the 6A Region II District 12 match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Shoemaker routed University (Waco, TX), 47-28, in a non-league battle.

The Maroons now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Del Valle for a 6A Region IV District 26 battle on Friday, September 26. Austin will play a Cardinals team coming off a 47-8 non-league loss to Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-3.
