In Friday's non-league outing, the R.J. Reynolds Demons (Winston-Salem, NC) football squad knocked off the host Ballantyne Ridge Wolves (Charlotte, NC), by a margin of 41-21.

The Demons now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Parkland for a Central Piedmont 7A/8A outing on Friday, October 3. R.J. Reynolds will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 46-0 non-league win over Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-4.

With the defeat, Ballantyne Ridge drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a Southwestern 7A/8A outing on Friday, September 26. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 2-3. East Mecklenburg lost 45-8 in their recent non-league contest against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
