California High School Football - Birmingham thwarted by Calabasas

Calabasas Coyotes (Calabasas, CA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the host Birmingham Patriots (Lake Balboa, CA), 49-28 in a non-league match.

The Coyotes (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA). The Griffins go into the non-league battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Los Alamitos prevailed over Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA), 49-42, in a non-league battle.

The Patriots now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Harvard-Westlake for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 27. Birmingham will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 52-16 non-league win over Royal (Simi Valley, CA). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-2.
