The Porter-Gaud Cyclones football team (Charleston, SC), was outscored 40-23 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Bishop England Battling Bishops (Charleston, SC)

The Battling Bishops (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Woodland (Dorchester, SC). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Woodland was topped by Bamberg-Ehrhardt (Bamberg, SC), 48-7, in a non-league bout.

The Cyclones now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Heathwood Hall Episcopal for a SCISA 4A bout on Friday, September 26. Porter-Gaud will encounter a Highlanders team coming off a 41-0 league win over Cardinal Newman (Columbia, SC). The Highlanders record now stands at 3-2.
