In Friday's league match, the host Elm Creek Buffaloes football squad scored a close 40-36 triumph over the Blue Hill Bobcats.

The Buffaloes (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin (Franklin, NE). The Flyers go into the D2 District 5 (8 Man) challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Franklin was nipped by Kenesaw (Kenesaw, NE), 38-28, in a league test.

With the defeat, Blue Hill drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Wilcox-Hildreth (Wilcox, NE) to face the Falcons in a D2 District 5 (8 Man) challenge on Friday, September 26. The Falcons go into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Wilcox-Hildreth won 72-28 in their recent league challenge against Axtell (Axtell, NE)
