The Boone Central Cardinals football squad scored 55 points and limited the visiting Wood River Eagles to 13 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cross County for a C2 District 4 test on Friday, September 26. Boone Central will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Doniphan-Trumbull (Doniphan, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 2-2.

With the defeat, Wood River drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE) to face the Bluehawks in a C2 District 5 challenge on Friday, September 26.
