Falls City Beavers (Falls City, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Brackett Tigers (Brackettville, TX), 7-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Falls City advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Beavers travel to Junction (Junction, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league match on Friday, September 26. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 4-0. Junction won 27-16 in their recent non-league match against Mason (Mason, TX)

The Tigers now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to D'Hanis for a 2A-2 Region IV District 14 battle on Saturday, September 27. Brackett will play a Cowboys team coming off a 29-7 non-league loss to New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 1-2.
