John Milledge Academy Trojans (Milledgeville, GA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Brentwood War Eagles (Sandersville, GA), 31-28 in a non-league battle.

With the win, John Milledge Academy advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Trojans host Stratford Academy (Macon, GA) to confront the Eagles in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 6 match on Friday, September 26. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 5-0. Stratford Academy won 41-14 in their recent non-league match against Brookstone (Columbus, GA)

Coming up next, the War Eagles confront the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA) in a GIAA AA/A District 4 match, on Friday, September 26. Brentwood will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Buccaneers come into the match with a 4-1 record after their 34-15 non-league win over Windsor Academy (Macon, GA).
