The Cedar Grove Saints football squad (Ellenwood, GA), was beaten 40-14 in Friday's league match with the host Douglass Astros (Atlanta, GA)

The Astros (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Riverdale (Riverdale, GA). The Raiders come into the AAA Region 5 match with a 1-4 record.

Coming up next, the Saints confront the Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA) in a AAA Region 5 match, on Thursday, September 25. Cedar Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 2-3 record after their 56-10 non-league win over Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA).
