The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS) and the visiting Central Holmes Christian Trojans (Lexington, MS), witnessed Newton County Academy's football squad knock off Central Holmes Christian by a tally of 42-20.

The Generals (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Prentiss Christian (Prentiss, MS). The Saints enter the MAIS 8-Man 1A District 3 (8 Man) contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Prentiss Christian gained a win over Heritage Christian Academy (Picayune, MS), 32-6, in a non-league bout.

The Trojans now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Delta Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, October 3.
