Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI), 12-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Rogers improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Vikings host Johnston (Johnston, RI) to play the Panthers in a Division III battle on Friday, September 26. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Johnston lost 35-26 in their recent non-league battle against Coventry (Coventry, RI)

The Chargers now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Classical for a Division III battle on Thursday, September 25. Chariho will play a Purple team coming off a 38-0 league win over North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Purple record now stands at 3-0.
