Minnesota High School Football - Triton can't hold off Chatfield
September 20, 2025: Dodge Center, MN 55927 Chatfield Gophers (Chatfield, MN) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the host Triton Cobras (Dodge Center, MN), 24-23 in a league test.
The Gophers now hold a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Rushford-Peterson for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. Chatfield will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 21-20 non-league win over Randolph/Fit Academy Charter (Randolph, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Triton drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Cobras host St. Charles (St. Charles, MN) to face the Fighting Saints in a Southeast Central - Yellow challenge on Thursday, September 25. The Fighting Saints go into the challenge with a record of 1-3. St. Charles lost 16-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Lourdes (Rochester, MN)
