In Friday's league match, the visiting Romeo Bulldogs football squad scored a close 28-21 victory over the Chippewa Valley Big Reds.

The Bulldogs (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI). The Tars enter the Macomb Area - Red match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Anchor Bay was nudged by Utica Eisenhower (Shelby Township, MI), 47-20, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Big Reds confront the Dakota Cougars (Macomb, MI) in a Macomb Area - Red match, on Friday, September 26. Chippewa Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Cougars go into the battle with a 4-0 record after their 28-14 league win over Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI).
