In Friday's league match, the host Gordon Lee Trojans football squad scored a good 49-21 victory over the Christian Heritage Lions.

The Trojans (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Chattooga (Summerville, GA). The Indians enter the A D1 Region 7 match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Chattooga thwarted Armuchee (Rome, GA), 45-27, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Lions play the Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA) in a A D1 Region 7 battle, on Friday, September 26. Christian Heritage will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 1-4 record after their 25-13 league loss to Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA).
