Kansas High School Football - Fort Scott nudges Independence
September 19, 2025: Fort Scott, KS 66701 In Friday's league match, the host Fort Scott Tigers football squad scored a close 15-8 triumph over the Independence Bulldogs.
The Tigers (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS). The Dragons come into the Southeast Kansas battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Pittsburg was tipped by Labette County (Altamont, KS), 20-13, in a league battle.
The Bulldogs now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Field Kindley for a Southeast Kansas battle on Friday, September 26. Independence will play a Golden Tornado team coming off a 50-0 non-league loss to Emporia (Emporia, KS). The Golden Tornado record now stands at 0-3.
