Kentucky High School Football - Harlan County tops McCreary Central
September 19, 2025: Harlan, KY 40831 The Harlan County Black Bears football squad scored 36 points and limited the visiting McCreary Central Raiders to 13 in the Black Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Black Bears now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Laurel for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. Harlan County will meet a Cardinals squad coming off a 38-13 non-league win over Wayne County (Monticello, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-0.
With the defeat, McCreary Central drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Bell County (Pineville, KY) to meet the Bobcats in a 3A District 7 test on Friday, September 26. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 5-0. Bell County won 40-6 in their recent non-league test against Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY)
