California High School Football - Leuzinger can't hold off JSerra Catholic

September 19, 2025: San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675

JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Leuzinger Olympians (Lawndale, CA), 39-35 in a non-league battle.

With the win, JSerra Catholic advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Lions host St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA) to play the Braves in a Trinity match on Friday, October 3. The Braves come into the match with a record of 5-0. St. John Bosco won 49-20 in their recent non-league match against St. Louis (Honolulu, HI)

The Olympians now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hawthorne for a non-league battle on Friday, September 26. Leuzinger will play a Cougars team coming off a 48-0 non-league loss to South (Torrance, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 1-4.
