The Lawson Cardinals got by the visiting Penney Hornets football team by a score of 24-21 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals play the Mid-Buchanan Dragons (Faucett, MO) in a KCI challenge, on Friday, September 26. Lawson will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Dragons go into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 28-0 league win over West Platte (Weston, MO).

The Hornets (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Platte (Dearborn, MO). The Panthers go into the KCI challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, North Platte nipped East Buchanan (Gower, MO), 34-27, in a league challenge.
