The Ruston Bearcats got by the visiting Longview Lobos football team by a score of 38-35 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearcats face the Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 25. Ruston will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Rebels go into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 42-28 non-league win over Abilene (Abilene, TX).

With the defeat, Longview drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Rockwall (Rockwall, TX) to meet the Yellowjackets in a 6A Region II District 10 test on Friday, October 3. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 2-2.
