Arkansas High School Football - Piggott thwarted by Mountain View
September 19, 2025: Mountain View, AR 72560 Mountain View Yellowjackets (Mountain View, AR) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Piggott Mohawks (Piggott, AR), 28-8 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Mountain View improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Mayflower (Mayflower, AR) to play the Eagles in a 3A Region 2 test on Friday, September 26. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 3-0. Mayflower won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against England (England, AR)
With the defeat, Piggott drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to Newport (Newport, AR) to meet the Greyhounds in a 3A Region 3 test on Friday, September 26. The Greyhounds go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Newport lost 48-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Salem (Salem, AR)
