In Friday's non-league game, the Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, WV) football team overcame the host Tyler Knights (Sistersville, WV), by a tally of 28-13.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Moorefield Yellow Jackets (Moorefield, WV) in a Potomac Valley II game, on Friday, September 26. Petersburg will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the outing with a 0-4 record after their 37-6 non-league loss to Strasburg (Strasburg, VA).

With the defeat, Tyler drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Cameron (Cameron, WV) to clash with the Dragons in a Mason-Dixon outing on Friday, September 26.
