The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Pine Grove Cardinals (Pine Grove, PA) and the host Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils (Shenandoah, PA), witnessed Pine Grove's football squad edge Shenandoah Valley by a count of 28-26.

The Cardinals (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mahanoy Area (Mahanoy City, PA). The Golden Bears go into the Colonial-Schuylkill - C battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Mahanoy Area was tipped by Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA), 35-13, in a league battle.

The Blue Devils now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Nativity BVM for a Colonial-Schuylkill - C battle on Friday, September 26.
